Hitman brings all three recent titles into one package

Hitman brings all three recent titles into one package

IO Interactive have been keeping the support for Hitman 3 going for quite a while now, but as is their normal behaviour, the start of the year means news for the game and this year is a big one.

Later this month Hitman 3 is getting an update for existing owners and new owners will only be able to find it by the new name, which is “Hitman World of Assassination”. This new title is not just a name change, as the update will bring Hitman 1 and Hitman 2 into the game, via the existing Access Pass. Owners of Hitman 3 will get the upgrade on all platforms they own the game on.

Why the change? Well IO Interactive released this as part of their explanation:

Essentially, these two changes will mean that all new players and existing HITMAN 3 owners will have the same base content ownership. There will be no more confusion over which edition to buy, what content you own, how to redeem Legacy packs or import locations, etc. We’re done with that.

Going forward, anyone who buys into Hitman World of Assassination will get Hitman 3, plus all Hitman 1 and Hitman 2 content. The below graphic shows off just some of what you can expect, at least in terms of destinations.

If you own Hitman 3 and don’t own any of the additional content, you can pick up the World of Assassination Deluxe Pack. This pack includes:

  • H3 Deluxe Pack

  • H3 Seven Deadly Sins Collection

  • H2 Expansion Access Pass

The good news is that if you own any of those items already, you won’t need to buy them all again, as the items will be bundled together on Steam, removing the cost of the packs you already own and on consoles, will be available for an individual purchase price, the total of which is the same as buying them together.

You can read more information on each platforms breakdown here, but the highlights are above.
