Hi-Fi Rush is dropping new modes and more next month, in a free update

Bethesda and Tango Gameworks were on hand at the Xbox Games Showcase Extended to reveal a new update is coming next mothh to Hi-Fi Rush. Called the Arcade Challenge! Update! it will offer two new game mdoes, new music and more.

The first of the new modes is called BPM Rush and will challenge players by increasing the speed of the beat as waves of enemies come at you. The first wave will be normal, but with each wave that you take down the BPM will speed up, with the final wave coming out at 200BPM.

The second new mode is called Power Up! Tower Up! and will offer players a twist on the Rhythm Tower mode that is unlocked once you beat the game for the first time. In this mode you will still be climbing up floors and defeating waves of enemies, but this time you’ll be powering up a downgraded Chai with randomized Upgrades.

The Upgrades you choose between rounds will amp up Chai’s stats and abilities; some sport handy Bonuses to aid you during the next fight, while others feature interesting Bugs that instead add an extra layer of challenge to that round in exchange for a bigger multiplier (and higher scores!)

That is not all, as the update will provide even more content, such as new poses for the games Photo Mode, new shirts for Chai, new stickers and as a special call out new outfits for Korsica. Heck, even CNMN and Smidge have been given new special attacks.
