Helldivers II is diving onto Xbox this August
PlayStation have announced that Helldivers II will make the drop onto Xbox this August 26, marking their first official game published onto Xbox. Check out the trailer for the game below.
The game will be the same, content wise, that has been out for a year and change on PlayStation 5 and PC, just now for Xbox. That means players can team up for democracy and fight back against the bug menace.
“We know gamers have been asking for this for some time and we are so excited to bring more Helldivers into our game. We have so much more in store for the future months and years – and the more players we have the more stories we can tell! The fight for Super Earth has only just begun.”
Helldivers 2 is a cooperative, third-person feast of destruction where you and up to three squad mates step into the boots of an elite class of soldiers whose mission is to spread peace, liberty, and Managed Democracy using the biggest, baddest, and most explosive tools in the galaxy.
The game offers cross-play, meaning Xbox players can squad up with PC and PlayStation 5 soldiers, but there is no cross-save, so if you joined the fight elsewhere and now want Xbox, you have to start over.
The game will be available in both a standard and extra edition, which they call the Super Citizen Edition. Here are the details for both versions of the game:
