HBO's The Last of Us has it's leads, from Star Wars and Game of Thrones

Confirmed! Original story below

The Last of Us, was arguably one of the most impressive games on the PlayStation 3, thanks in part to its strong story and characters, so the news of the adaptation for HBO was welcome. Today it seems that we are closer than ever as Deadline are reporting the roles for Joel and Ellie have been cast.

It is a Game of Thrones reunion, at least I assume so, I never watched past season 1, with Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey, being cast as Joel and Ellie respectively.

If the name Pedro Pascal means nothing to you from the Game of Thrones avenue, it might mean something as The Mandalorian, as he played the titular character there. Reports are that he has time now from Star Wars, before he has to don the armour once more, so he could easily film this then blast off again.

The show is being overseen by Naughty Dog’s Neil Druckmann, who is even assisting with the writing, the show is being lead by Chernobyl creator, the show not the failed nuclear plant Craig Mazin. Druckmann and Mazin will executive produce alongside Carolyn Strauss, Naughty Dog’s Evan Wells and PlayStation Productions’ Asad Qizilbash and Carter Swan.

There is no filming dates, which means there is no word on when it will come to tv screens, but if you want, you can always replay the original game.
