Grand Theft Auto VI will release in May 2026

Rockstar Games revealed via social media that Grand Theft Auto VI will release next year. The game now has a set date and that is May 26, 2026, which is obviously not 2025 as was planned.

As you can see from the message below, the company just wants time to make the game the best it could be, which is fine, as long as that extra time ensures there is no crunch on the developers.

So now the wait is on, 389 days and counting. The game is coming to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S
