Grand Theft Auto V is hitting next-gen this November

Rockstar revealed last year, during the PlayStation 5 reveal, that Grand Theft Auto V would be hitting next-gen systems in 2021, today they have announced that this will happen in November, specifically November 11.

Right now, specifics are light, but we know that both Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online will be expanded and enhanced, to take advantage of both PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series X|S.

Prior to the November 11 release for the game there, this Winter Grand Theft Auto Online will get an update that will include special benefits for players to take advantage of in these expanded and enhanced versions when they drop.

Also if that wasn’t enough for you, in celebration of the upcoming 20th anniversary of the genre defining Grand Theft Auto III, new content is coming, including for GTA Online players.

Finally, speaking of that, while the standalone version of GTA Online will be available to players on both platforms, this new standalone version of GTA Online will be available for free exclusively to PlayStation 5 players during the first three months.

If that wasn’t enough incentive, PlayStation Plus members on PlayStation 4, can claim a bonus GTA$1,000,000 by visiting the PlayStation Store at the start of each month, from now until the release of GTA Online for the PlayStation 5.
