God of War Sons of Sparta has been announced and released
PlayStation have announced that God of War is back, in pixel form, as God of War Sons of Sparta has been released and will take players back to a time when Kratos and his brother Deimos, were just young boys going through early training to become Spartans. Check out the announcement trailer below.
The game is not a spin-off what if story, but is cannon to the events of Kratos’ life, which is why the original Kratos, TC Carson, is back to narrate the adventure.
Kratos will learn deadly skills using his spear and shield, as well as harness powerful divine artifacts known as the Gifts of Olympus to take on a wide array of foes. Sons of Sparta features the return of iconic classics recreated in 2D with stunning hand-drawn pixel animation, as well as a host of new creatures to the franchise inspired by the rich, untapped facets of Greek mythology.
The game is out now in both standard and deluxe forms, with the latter coming with digital artbook and soundtrack and some extra in-game items. You can get it here.
