First proper look at NBA 2K21 for next gen is here

2K have decided to do something different this week and talk about NBA 2K21, I kid, they talk about it a lot, but this time is different as they have actually released gameplay of the next generation versions.

The footage below was captured from the PlayStation 5 build of the game, though it will look the same on Series X. Visual Concepts executive producer Erick Boenisch and gameplay director Mike Wang are the ones who are commentating over the footage and they know a little bit about the series.

Speaking of commentary - longtime fans will be excited to learn that the next-gen version of NBA 2K21 features two separate commentary teams! In addition to the current cast of Kevin Harlan, Greg Anthony and David Aldridge, players will also hear games cast by Brian Anderson (play-by-play), Grant Hill (color commentator) and Allie LaForce (sideline reporter), keeping the overall commentary experience fresh. Great analysis will still be provided by special guests which include Doris Burke, Steve Smith, Chris Webber, Brent Barry and Clark Kellogg and more.

The next gen versions of the game launch the same day as the consoles do, so November 10 for Series X and November 12 for PlayStation 5. If you bought the Mamba Forever edition on the current platforms, you get a free upgrade to the next gen editions, within the same family, ie PS4 to PS5, but if you bought the regular, no free upgrade for you.
