EPOS upgrades their gaming headsets with the new H6Pro series, complete with removeable mic

EPOS have announced a new line up of headsets the H6 Pro series, that offer some unique offerings, depending on what you want. The H6PRO Open delivers the same great sound you would expect, but with the chance to hear from the world around you, while the H6PRO Closed, lets you sink into the audio you are hearing.

Both headsets come in a range of colours, including a striking green offering, which has some gold coloured accents on it, the white also looks nice as well.

For the H6 Pro Open, the proprietary speaker system delivers the signature EPOS sound with an immersive, open and expansive soundstage for the finest natural and realistic game audio across the full frequency spectrum with minimal listening fatigue. All that boils down to a roughly 20% reduction in weight and given how comfy their past headsets have been this is only going to make their use even better.

The element that I love the most on this headset is the fact that you can remove the microphone, something I have called out on their previous offerings and called out against other headset makers. The microphone being removed is not the only change, it is now also longer, which means it sits better in front of the mouth, allowing for clearer sound than previous.

The headsets are available today direct from EPOS and will set you back $260, for either the Closed or Open designs.
