Disney Gargoyles Remastered brings the classic game back this October

Disney have finally shown off the Gargoyles Remastered game, which was announced a year ago and has been absent since then. The game got a trailer and a release date all in one though, with it coming out on October 19th.

Gargoyles Remastered is a tribute to the classic video game and animated series, as players attempt to put an end to the Eye of Odin, a corrupted magical talisman which can transform whoever comes to possess it.

This updated version of the game comes with enhanced visuals and modern features, but at the press of a button you will be able to swap back to the original Mega Drive release.

Throughout the game, you will be able to use stone-crushing strength, glide through the air mastering mid-air attacks, and scale stone towers and buildings across ancient Scotland and modern-day Manhattan to save the world from destruction.

In addition to a new look, both the old and new versions of the game will feature the option to rewind the game, should you need it and new difficulty options.

For those who want it physically, Limited Run Games are doing versions for all platforms in Standard, Special and Collectors, with the later one coming with an actual Gargoyle figurine. But as always, there will be a 8-9 month wait at a minimum to get it.

There is also reproductions of the Genesis cartridge, which is the Mega Drive name in North America, but there is no word on if it will be region locked, its unlikely, but they have not stated yet.

The game will be out on October 19th for Switch, PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
