Discover how the legend of John Wick became to be in this all-new game
Saber Interactive have announced a brand new game in the world of John Wick. The game does not have a title just yet, but in it, players will take on the role of the iconic hitman long before he was feared as the baba yaga. Check out the reveal trailer for the game below.
The game is being created by Saber, but the movies director Chad Stahelski is working with them, alongside Lionsgate Pictures. Plus star of the series Keanu Reeves is back as both the face and voice of the character.
Set in the timeline years before his impossible task, the one that gave him the name baba yaga, players will get to discover John long before he was a perfect killer. This is going to be a cannon story, so if you have seen the movies, know this will fit right in there.
There are signature elements from the John Wick movies that are also present in the game, incorporated to enhance the overall interactive experience. Things like the unique use of camerawork; the notable bold and cinematic environments; and of course, the extremely distinctive gun-fu action and intense driving experiences.
There are four mainline movies now, each with Reeves in the leading role, the spin-off Ballerina that starred Ana de Armas and there are two more movies on the way, one starring Donnie Yen’s Caine and another following on from the events of John Wick: Chapter 4. We do not talk about that TV series that had no input from the creators.
There is no release date for the game at this stage, but we know it is coming to PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S when it does.
