Dead by Daylight reveals a few more details about its next Resident Evil collaboration

As part of the Behaviour Interactive showcase, they revealed a new trailer for the upcoming Resident Evil: Project W chapter for Dead by Daylight, which is not only the 25th chapter of content for the game, but the second Resident Evil cross over, check it out.

Dead by Daylight: Resident Evil: PROJECT W features a new Killer, villain extraordinaire Albert Wesker, known in-game as The Mastermind. Two new Survivors are also stepping into The Fog: Ada Wong and Rebecca Chambers. With this release, fans will also be treated to a map-rework of the Raccoon City Police Department.

“Welcoming the legendary characters from Resident Evil into our universe last year has been a huge milestone for Dead by Daylight,” explains Mathieu Côté, Head of Partnership for Behaviour Interactive. Capcom are at the root of all survival horror in video games and we are humbled to be able to continue to honour that legacy with a new Chapter.”

This time around, the Killer will be Albert Wesker, a man who has overseen much of what has happened in the Resident Evil series. For those who prefer to be the prey, I mean the escapees, you can enjoy Ada Wong and Rebecca Chambers.

"The Resident Evil franchise has given birth to a multitude of acclaimed characters throughout the past quarter of a century, with every fan having their favourite. So, allowing them to step into the shoes of the nefarious Wesker, or famed protagonists Ada Wong and Rebecca Chambers, is a way for us to treat our players, while taking the Dead by Daylight experience to the next level,” explains Dave Richard, Creative Director for Dead by Daylight.

“The Capcom Team is delighted to collaborate once more with Dead by Daylight to expand The Resident Evil Story,” explains the publisher in an official statement. “Merging the many iterations of the iconic Resident Evil characters such as Albert Wesker and seeing them stand on their own in a new universe is a proud moment. Melding two iconic horror universes together is not an easy feat – but the results are wonderful and we hope the fans will enjoy.

There is no set date for its release, but the team are promising soon. When it does launch, it will be out for all platforms that the game is available on.
