Atelier Resleriana: The Red Alchemist & the White Guardian reveals new characters

Over the weekend, Koei Tecmo revealed a new trailer for the upcoming Atelier Resleriana: The Red Alchemist & the White Guardian, which is set to launch on September 26 for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch and PC. This new trailer revealed some of the characters in the game, a few of which may be familiar to fans of the series, check it out.
Atelier Resleriana, I am not writing out the full name every time, will take players on a new adventure, one filled with mystery and perhaps a few moments of cosiness, with dual protagonists Rias Eisdreise and Slade Clauslyter. For Rias, she is a new adventurer and has a talent for Alchemy, whereas Slade is capable of opening up dimensional paths, which in turn lead to new alternate dimensions.
The two of them will join forward in an attempt to discover what happened to the folks of Hallfein, who all disappeared without any trace. During their journey, they will meet various characters who will help them, including familiar faces from the Atelier series such as Sophie Nuenmuller, Razeluxe Meitzen, Totori Helmold and Wilbell Voll-Ersleid. You can see the art for each character below; in the order we have them listed above.
Set in the universe of Atelier Resleriana: Forgotten Alchemy and the Polar Night Liberator, this new Atelier title will transport players to the continent of Lantarna, where they can explore, gather ingredients for synthesis and discover every secret corner, day or night, rain or shine. Players will also have the opportunity to explore multi-level dungeons, known as “Dimensional Paths”, where the structure will change randomly with each visit, allowing players to gather different ingredients and challenge new enemies depending on the difficulty level chosen.
Combat in this game will play a little more on the traditional side, with players able to assemble a team of six, three on the front lines and three at the back. Attacks will take place on a timeline, but some actions you do can lead to members of your party jumping ahead in the timeline. Of course, alchemy will play a part in the game, using ingredients gathered, Rias will be able to create items, and depending on the items used, different traits or changes will be applied.
The game is releasing in the West for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch and PC, the game is releasing in Japan on PlayStation 4, but there are no plans on that to be released outside of the country.
