Assassin's Creed Shadows reveals its 'Summer' Roadmap

Ubisoft have announced the roadmap for Assassin’s Creed Shadows for the next few months, to which they are calling their Summer roadmap. You can watch the video below to get an idea of everything coming, or jump below it to see the infographic.

The first big addition to the game arrives next week when the New Game+ mode is added, which can be accessed once the credits have rolled on the game. Selecting this will reset your Story and objective board progression as well as discovered locations - but your character level, your acquired gear, skill points, Knowledge rank and your precious Hideout progression will remain untouched.

At the same time, the update that enables that will also see increase to player level cap, from 60 to 80. The update will also see new Knowledge Ranks, new Mastery and Knowledge Skill ranks, and new upgrades for all Hideout buildings - including new upgrades for Heiji's Forge.

The next update will arrive sometime in early September and will be focused on quality-of-life updates. The fixes that the team have revealed will be:

  • The world map unfogging after completing viewpoint synchronization (per region).

  • The ability to skip time-of-day, jumping ahead to dusk or dawn.

  • A new Forge upgrade level to reach Mythic (from Epic) and Artifact (from Legendary) equipment rarities.

  • Hideout Updates and Upgrades.

  • Uncapped framerate for cutscenes (PC only).

  • Additional goodies that may be familiar to long-time series fans.

  • Further bug fixes and stability improvements.

More specific details will be revealed closer to the go live date, along with the actual date.

The final part of the roadmap is the release date for the game’s expansion, Claws of Awaji. This is the first time that the team have released that date and more details about the content for it will be revealed in a few weeks.

The game is of course available now for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, but comments by Ubisoft’s CEO did reveal that the game may come to other platforms in the future.
