Anno 117: Pax Romana has revealed a new region for players to conquer

Ubisoft went big at Gamescom, one of their reveals was that in Anno 117: Pax Romana, there would be a new region to conquer or assimilate and that is the Celtic province of Albion. Check out the reveal trailer for it below.
While Rome and its many offerings will keep most folks there, the Celtic region is home to Albion and offers a lot of new discoveries, depending on how you approach it. Players will have the chance to either rule the land with an iron fist, well marble if we are talking Romans, or adapt yourself to match what the people there already want, or perhaps you want to combine the best of both.
It won’t just be about putting up a few buildings and calling it a day, because no matter what route you take, you will need to deal with the Celtic beliefs and even myths. You can choose to start your game here or discover it in the late game, the choice is yours.
Here are the highlights from Ubisoft, about this new region:
An Expanded Pantheon of Celtic deities– Upon arriving in Albion, players can unlock new gods through the Discovery Tree including Epona, Mercury-Lugus, and Cernunnos. Some deities become available only through specific choices, each granting unique benefit to your empire and your residents who worship them.
Access to new technology - As players uncover Albion’s hidden secrets, new technologies emerge, empowering governors to shape the province to their vision. From innovations like marsh drainage—a hallmark of Roman engineering—to other transformative advances, each discovery opens new opportunities for expansion and ambition.
Romanization – When they set foot on Albion for the first time, newly appointed governors will find a wild and untamed land—uncharted by Romans yet rich in Celtic heritage. As governor, you must decide: preserve Celtic traditions or advance Roman ambition. Whichever path you choose, your residence will have needs and require specific resources.
The best news though is that you won’t need to wait long until you can play the game, as a limited time demo will release on September 2 for PC players. The demo will be available on Steam, Epic Game Store and Ubisoft Connect and will remain available until September 16. The demo will also allow access to both the Roman home, or the Celtic region of Albion.
The full game will release on November 13 for PC via Steam, Epic Game Store and Ubisoft Connect, as well as PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
