Dreamhack Melbourne tickets go on sale this week

Dreamhack Melbourne is Australia’s first ever Dreamhack event and is taking place on September 2 through 4 at Melbourne & Olympic Parks, with the organisers announcing today that tickets are going on sale this week. Thankfully, you won’t need to be like Danny Kim in the quest to attend, as the link for them is below.

Tickets for the event will be made for general sale on 10AM AEST THIS THURSDAY, APRIL 7, meaning there is a few days to go, however if you wanted to get a chance to buy them a day early, anyone who is signed up for the DreamHack Melbourne newsletter, will receive an invite to a 24-hour fan-only pre-sale. Here is what each ticket level will cost.

A day pass offers a single day of entertainment, with a festival pass granting access to all three days of the event.

  • ADULT (15+) DAY PASS - $50

  • CHILD (7 - 14) FESTIVAL PASS - $65

  • ADULT (15+) FESTIVAL PASS - $109

  • BYOC FESTIVAL PASS - $155

BYOC pass holders will be able to access all areas of DreamHack Melbourne, including overnight access to the DreamHack Melbourne LAN from Friday through Sunday.

So early access tickets go on sale at 10am on Wednesday April 6, with general sale happening 24 hours later.

“We can’t wait to showcase everything DreamHack has to offer to our Australian community - to be able to bring this storied festival to life in Melbourne for the first time later this year is a unique opportunity. We’ve already heard how excited fans are to attend our BYOC LAN at DreamHack Melbourne, and would encourage everyone interested in attending to secure their ticket as soon as possible, as spots are limited.”

“With the DreamHack Melbourne Founders Pass, we wanted to give the most passionate members of the DreamHack community in Australia the chance to get hands-on with our take on a limited edition collectible well before the event. It’s something fans can cherish in years to come having been there with us from the beginning of this journey.” said Brad Baldwin, Project Manager at ESL Australia.

Attendees at the festival will be able to experience everything a classic DreamHack has to offer, including a BYOC LAN tournament in Tennis HQ, multiple esports finals including the LCO - League of Legends Circuit Oceania finals and Halo Championship Series: ANZ, held in Margaret Court Arena, ESL Challenger #50 CS:GO, held in Rod Laver Arena, and a number of other on-site gaming activities across the precinct, featuring everything from tabletop games to local independent game studios.
