The Persistence is scaring up a release this May

Firesprite games have announced that The Persistence, the previously VR only title, will now release on Switch, Xbox One and PlayStation 4, in addition to a regular PC release on May 21st.

The game was originally released back in 2018 for PlayStation VR and threw players into an intentionally savage world, that blended rogue-like design and horror.

“When we made the move to bring The Persistence to new platforms, our key focus was to ensure that the particularly brutal nature of gameplay made the leap to non-VR,” says Graeme Ankers, MD and founder of Firesprite Games. “As a result, The Persistence keeps players on edge from beginning to end, and with a procedurally generated environment forming around them, no two playthroughs are ever identical, meaning you will never find safety in the same spot.”

A nice little bonus, is for those that own the PSVR release, you will get the standard PS4 release for free, the game will also get a physical release, but those dates will be locked down soon, the current world climate has made that a little challenging.
