The Outer Worlds: Spacer’s Choice Edition is taking next-gen players back to the stars next week

Private Division and developer Obsidian Entertainment have announced that The Outer Worlds is getting a console boost, with native Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 editions coming next week. PC players are also getting in on the fun, getting the newer version of the game as well.

Called The Outer Worlds: Spacer’s Choice Edition, this new edition of the game comes with higher resolution graphics, a dynamic weather system, overhauled lighting and environments, improved performance and load times, enhanced details on characters, an increased level cap, and much more await spacers who bravely and boldly carve their path through the conspiratorial Halcyon colony.

The collection will include the base game and the two expansions, however if you already own the original release on the same platform, ie Xbox One, then you can upgrade to the newer release on Xbox Series X|S for a reduced price. The price is just $12, so it is not a lot, but you need to own all the content, so owners of just the base game will not be able to upgrade for the reduced price.

For those that don’t own the game at all, you can purchase the new edition when it is released, or buy the content now and then upgrade, the choice is yours.

The Outer Worlds: Spacer’s Choice Edition hits on March 7 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S
