Star Wars The Old Republic has come to Steam

Overnight EA and Bioware have released Star Wars The Old Republic onto Steam, giving players a new way to manage the game and play it from, but for those that jump across, your progress and characters come with. The best news is even while it is on Steam now, it is still available by the launcher and Origin, so cross play is included, making sure there are plenty of people to play with.

If you are looking to see what the game is all about, the most recent expansion, Onslaught came out last year and offers a new way to experience the galaxy wide conflict between the Republic and the Sith.

War between the Galactic Republic and the Sith Empire blazes across the galaxy. Crucial resources dwindle as piracy and crime escalate dramatically. Amid this chaos, the Alliance Commander has the chance to tip the scales in favor of either faction, committing their elite forces to decide the fate of the galaxy.

If you want to know what is included, including cards and more, check out the blog post. Giving it a go is easy and as it is free to play, with benefits to those who do subscribe, there is no reason not to give it ago.
