Republic of Gamers are bringing more control to Xbox gamers with the ROG Raikiri Pro

CES is known for delivering a host of hardware, its literally part of the name, but usually gaming related content is limited to the PC space with laptops and graphics being key. Asus and their Republic of Gamers brand decided to buck that trend by revealing a new Xbox controller, complete with a screen in it.

There are actually two models of the controller, The ROG Raikiri and ROG Raikiri Pro, most of the basics are the same across the board, but the Pro offers wireless connections to a PC, where as for Xbox on both, it’s a cord or nothing.

Of course, the Pro model is the one with the screen, which can be programmed to show a host of information, depending on what you want, it also has 4 rear buttons, compared to the 2 on the normal controller. On both controllers, the left and right triggers will offer a full range of motion and include a short trigger lock mode. Trigger dead zones can be customized via Armoury Crate to suit user preference.

Plug a headset into the 3.5 mm jack for premium, true-to-life audio, powered by the built-in ESS DAC. Plus, it also supports mute button for voice chat on and off. More details can be found here.

As for when its coming out, right now its just the generic Q1 2023, which could mean tomorrow or March 31st. There is also no word on price, not even in America, so you best save your pennies as it likely won’t be a cheap option.
