JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All Star Battle R is bringing the series back and to more platforms

Bandai Namco have announced, via the recent State of Play, that JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All Star Battle R is coming and is a remaster of the 2013 PlayStation 3 release, but this time it is coming to all platforms. Check out the debut trailer for it below.

Those who have played the original release will find that this new version of the game includes a completely revamped and improved version of that games fighting mechanics, complete with hit stops, dashes, intricate new combos, and an all-new “Support Attack” tag-team battle system.

“The JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure franchise has been meeting more and more success now, and we are happy to be able to release a game that will allow both long-standing JoJo fans and newcomers to have fun battle with their favourite characters,” said Herve Hoerdt, Senior Vice President Digital, Marketing & Content at BANDAI NAMCO Europe S.A.S. “JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All Star Battle R offers the biggest roster of a JoJo game with 50 characters, with whom players will be able to create their dream matches, as well as new features like the “Support Attack” tag-team battle system, and a wealth of game mode and content making the game accessible and fun for everyone.”

Players will find the usual game modes, Arcade, Online, Versus and Practice, but there is also the All-Star Mode and a Gallery Mode, the last one is not so much about fighting though. The main mode, All-Star Battle Mode, features classic clashes between heroes from prior games in addition to all-new battles, offering more than 100 different battles for players to experience. JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All Star Battle R also offers a range of customizable and collectible skins along with unique illustrations that players can unlock and play in Gallery Mode.

The game itself is coming later in the year for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, Switch, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, a narrower release date is not yet know.
