Nintendo took a lot to Gamescom this year


Nintendo are at Gamescom in Germany this week and ahead of the show, they announced some release dates, dropped some new trailers and even announced the first non game app, coming to Australia on Switch.

First up is the new trailer for the mech game, DAEMON X MACHINA, check it out.



Next up was the announcement that Diddy Kong is coming to Mario Tennis ACES, celebrating this, they dropped a trailer that shows off the little guy in action.



Now we come to Inky Pen, the first non gaming app for Switch in Australia and it is a comic reader, so you can subscribe to the service and then get access to all of their comics.


Publishers that are onboard to support the service are IDW, Dynamite, Valiant, Humanoides Associés  and Andrews McMeel, with more to come.

“I could never afford to truly explore comics growing up, or even at university. Not because I didn’t have enough money, but because they were just too expensive for a student to justify buying. InkyPen solves this”, says Ronan Huggard, CEO of InkyPen.



Next up, we leave the world of Switch and venture into the realm of the 3DS, with the announcement that Luigi's Mansion for Nintendo 3DS will release on October 20th.



Finally, Super Mario Party will be coming to Nintendo Switch on October 5th and at Gamescom, Nintendo announced an all new mode for the game, River Survival. Check out this recording of the Nintendo Red Cube stream, to see the game in action, including the new mode.
