Xbox One S To Launch In Australia On August 2

Having only just been announced, one might think Xbox would hold back details for as long as they could, but the Xbox One S model will now hit Australia on August 2nd.

Xbox One S is the most compact Xbox yet, 40 percent smaller than the original Xbox One, and includes a built-in power supply. We also shifted one of the three USB ports and the pairing button to the front of the Xbox One S alongside the newly added IR blaster for increased accessibility.

Beyond the fresh new design, Xbox One S is the first and only console that allows you to watch Blu-ray movies and stream video in stunning 4K Ultra HD with High Dynamic Range (HDR). That means you’ll get to enjoy your favourite shows and movies in the clearest, most realistic video possible. With HDR support for video and gaming, Xbox One games like Gears of War 4, Forza Horizon 3, and Scalebound will look even better thanks to a higher contrast ratio between lights and darks, bringing out the true visual depth of your favourite games.

Players who are looking to pick up the slimer machine can expect to pay $549.95 for the 2tb model, but if white is not your colour, then you can also order up the Gears of War 4 version, which is coming October 7th for $599.95, which includes a copy of the game.

In any event, you will want to get your order in for either machine as soon as you can, because they are going to be very popular. You can also order the newer controllers on their own as well, EB Games has a full range that you can choose from
