Nintendo Switch - Release Date and More

Nintendo have done it, they have officially detailed the Nintendo Switch, including games, launch date, price and more.

Right off the bat, Nintendo Switch is out March 3rd, which is a little over six weeks away, exact local pricing has yet to be confirmed, but expect it around $400. Local pricing has been announced now and a Switch will set you back $469.95, with no games. In the box, you will get the Switch, JoyCon controllers, JoyCon grip, Switch Dock, JoyCon Lanyards.

No storage details were announced, however the official has detailed 32gb of built in memory, with

Games that were announced Super Mario Odyssey, '1,2, Switch', Splatoon 2, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, ARMS, Project Octopath , Fire Emblem Warriors, a new Shin Megami Tensei, The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim, EA Sports Fifa, NBA 2K18, Super Bomberman R, Xenoblade 2 and more, with 80 games confirmed to be in development.

A few years back Shigeru Miyamoto said that the team behind the Mario games was hard at work on the next entry in the series and we finally got our first look during the event, check out the trailer below.

The game wont make the Switch launch, but will instead come around the holiday season of 2017, so some months to go.

One game that will make the launch of Nintendo Switch is 1, 2, Switch, a game that does not need you to look at a screen, rather you will look at your opponent.

While it was used in the announcement video and Bethesda released a statement thanking Nintendo for allowing them to work together, Todd Howard was in the event, via a prerecorded message, to officially confirm that The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim is coming to the Switch.

No release date was given for when we can expect it, or nor was it confirmed if it was the special edition, that was released last year, though the footage shown would support that fact.

Nintendo also ended the even with the biggest look at the world of The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild, that we have ever seen and that video also ended with the games release date, March 3rd, the same date as the Switch release. The Wii U release was not announced.

While there was so much more Switch goodness announced, I am going to stop right here, be sure to look for the trailer wrap up soon.
