Daedalic Entertainment will be at PAX East showing off a brand new title, AER, where players can transform into a bird and fly to explore and experience a world of floating islands.
In a freely explorable world, the player will follow Auk, a girl who can transform into a bird, on a journey through the Land of Gods. In the role auf Auk, the player will visit nomads and spirit animals, and venture down into ruins from a lost ancient civilization.
The gods of old are forgotten, lost in the events that shattered the world, leaving only fragments of islands in the sky. On the journey, the player will encounter situations that have not been experienced in generations, and every step leads closer towards the end of the world.
In AER players can look forward to playing the game and discovering some of these features:
- The player can jump off any cliff and fly without restrictions. Seamless transitions between human and bird.
- A large, fully designed world that is free to explore, and filled with secrets to discover.
- A pilgrimage and mysteries, puzzles and temples.
- High focus on atmosphere and aesthetics with a vibrant surreal low-poly art style.
The game is due for release this September for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4
